Jose Aldo Injured In Motorbike Accident But Will Be Fit For UFC 153

UFC featherweight star Jose Aldo was involved in an accident on his motorbike over the weekend, but thankfully despite being struck by a car he wasn’t seriously injured, emerging with just a swollen foot and a few scratches.

“The only concern is that his foot was swollen, but there was no fracture. He will be resting this week and the next train” Aldo’s coach AndrĂ© Pederneiras told the TATAME website. “He also suffered some scratches on the knee, leg and butt, but we believe there will not be any problem.”

That’s a relief as Aldo is currently scheduled to fight Frankie Edgar in the headline bout of UFC 153 in Rio on October 13th and after all the organization’s woes lately the last thing they need is another injury call-off from a major star.

Just to be on the safe side Pederneiras has warned Aldo that he’s now “forbidden to ride a bike.”
