Donald Cerrone made short work of Alex Oliveira in his welterweight debut this evening at UFC Fight Night 83 in Pittsburgh.
Round One:
The main event of the evening is underway. After a right hand Oliveira looks to clinch with Cerrone against the cage and the two men exchange knees.
Spinning kick misses for Oliveira. Leg kick for Cerrone. Right hand for Oliveira. Cerrone goes in for a takedown and gets it.
Cerrone moves into mount. He’s looking for a triangle choke here and it’s locked in – Oliveira taps out with just 2.33mins on the clock.
A nice debut win at 170lbs here for Cerrone in the battle of the ‘Cowboys’ while picking up his first submission win in seven fights.
