Sarah Kaufman Vs Roxanne Modaferri
Initially during her run in the Strikeforce promotion Sarah Kaufman struggled to get the attention she deserved with a string of decision wins and often found herself relegated to the ‘Challengers’ series rather than the main show despite the 135lb champion.
That all changed however after she fought the always crafty Roxanne Modaferri. Late in the third round Modaferri was on her back looking for a submission when Kaufman suddenly hoisted her up into the air and power-slammed her back down onto the mat, producing the instant KO.
The jaw-dropping finish was aired on ESPN’s ‘Plays Of The Day’ and Kaufman earned a spot in the co-main event of a major Strikeforce event next time out.
