BAMMA have already experienced bad luck this week when Efrain Escudero was forced to pull out of his main card fight after running into Visa issues, and the woes continued today.
First up Leandro Santos failed to appear for his lightweight title fight with Rob Sinclair after stating that he couldn’t make the weight in time, and then a broken sauna left several other fighters struggling to make weight.
Amongst them was Paul Daley who’s had numerous issues with making the 171lb limit in the past and again it proved to be the case when he came in at 176lbs. Despite being given additional time to cut the extra 5lbs Daley appeared to wave the white flag, telling his Facebook followers that he was “done”, before relenting when his opponent Jordan Radev agreed to fight him at that weight.
Meanwhile the other fighters who came in slightly overweight all managed to make the limits at the second attempt after being given additional time.
