Up and coming British promotion BAMMA will welcome popular commentator Michael ‘The Voice’ Schiavello into the commentary booth for their sixth event on May 21st.

Schiavello is set to lead the commentary team for the show which will air live on the SyFy channel in the UK, as well as being broadcast via online PPV stream around the globe.

BAMMA 6 is headlined by a middleweight title fight between current champion Tom ‘Kong’ Watson and Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua, with other familiar faces on the card including ex UFC fighters Frank Trigg and Ivan Salaverry.

Schiavello is perhaps best known to MMA fans as the voice of Japanese promotions like DREAM and K-1, along with various others MMA events on HDNet. His hi-octane, enthusiastic delivery has made him a cult figure in the sport, and at last year’s ‘World MMA Awards’ he was one of the six finalists for the ‘Leading Man Of The Year’ award.

The Australian’s presence in the BAMMA booth is definitely a plus point, with the previous commentary team being one of the weak points in the promotion’s broadcasts.
