Several leading MMA promotions are eager to squeeze one final event in before the end of 2013, and that means that there’s something of a logjam on the horizon with no fewer than four events in the space of two days!

Friday, December 6th – UFC Fight Night 33: Hunt Vs Bigfoot

The biggest event of a packed opening weekend in December is UFC Fight Night 34 coming live from Australia with Mark Hunt and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva headlining the show.

There’s a number of other notable bouts on this card, including a pair of light-heavyweight bouts featuring ‘Shogun’ Rua Vs James Te Huna in the co-main event and Ryan Bader Vs Anthony Perosh.

Friday, December 6th – ONE FC 13

Also putting on an event on Friday is Asian promotion ONE FC 13 with a show dubbed the ‘Moment Of Truth’.

The show is headlined by a featherweight title rematch between Koji Oishi and the man he took the belt from, Honorio Banario.

Saturday, December 7th: World Series Of Fighting 7

WSOF 7 takes place on NBC Sports a day later with the featherweight title on the line as Georgi Karakhanyan takes on Lance Palmer in the main event.

A middleweight tournament semi-final between Elvis Mutapcic and Jesse Taylor also finally goes down at the event and the likes of Nick Newell and Kalib Starnes also makes appearances on the main card.

Saturday, December 7th: Invicta FC 7

If that wasn’t enough there’s also all-female fight promotion Invicta FC’s next show to keep track of with Barb Honchak facing Leslie Smith in the headline attraction.

There’s good quality female fighters right the way through this fight card including the likes of Carla Esparza and the undefeated Claudia Gadelha in the co-main event, plus others such as Felice Herrig, Joanne Calderwood, Julia Budd and Zoila Gurgel Frausto, some of whom may be targets for the UFC’s forthcoming 115lb division.

Saturday, December 14th: BAMMA 14: Daley Vs da Silva

Skipping forward a week we’re faced with UK promotion BAMMA’s 14th show which sees the return of former UFC and Strikeforce star Paul Daley against Romario Manoel da Silva.

Ex-TUF fighter Colin Fletcher fights Mansour Barnaoui in the co-main event and Jim Wallhead will go up against Florent Betorangal elsewhere on the main card.

Saturday, December 14th: UFC On FOX 9: Johnson Vs Benavidez II

The UFC’s final FOX show of the year features a flyweight title rematch between current champ Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson and Joseph Benavidez.

Battle-hardened veteran Urijah Faber will look to fend of the challenge of the highly rated Michael McDonald in the co-feature and Matt Brown will attempt to continue his remarkable run of form against his toughest opponent yet, Carlos Condit.

Saturday, December 28th: UFC 168: Silva Vs Weidman II

Saving the best for last, just a few days before the year ends we can look forward to UFC 168 which will bring us the highly anticipated middleweight title rematch between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.

No self respecting MMA fan will want to miss that showdown, but if you need any more convincing then how about the grudge rematch between TUF 18 coaches Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate for the bantamweight title, and a heavyweight collision between Josh Barnett and Travis Browne.
