After a stacked schedule last month, the UFC are currently cooling their heels with a three week hiatus partly brought about by the cancellation of UFC 176 which had been scheduled to take place this weekend.
Don’t worry if you’re already getting withdrawal symptoms though as things heat up again in a big way in the second half of the month.

Saturday, August 9th: WSOF 12 – Palomino Vs Gonzales
Where: Las Vegas, United States
World Series Of Fighting get the month underway after their first ever event on the main NBC channel last month, and they’ve put together a more low-key line-up for their 12th event which will air on NBC Sports.
Headlining the show is a lightweight fight between undefeated newcomer Lewis Gonzales and Luis Palomino who earned a KO win in his promotional debut back in January, while former UFC fighter Ronny Markes makes his WSOF debut against late replacement Cully Butterfield.

Saturday, August 16th: UFC Fight Night 47 – Bader Vs St. Preux
Where: Maine, United States
Mid-way through the month the UFC are back in action with UFC Fight Night 47 which is headlined by a lightweight match-up between top 10 contenders Ryan Bader (No.8) and Ovince St. Preux (No.10).
There’s a solid main-card line-up for this one with Ross Pearson taking on Abel trujillo, Tim Boetsch up against Brad Tavares and Gray Maynard returning to fight Fabricio Camoes.

Friday, August 22nd: Titan FC 29 – Riddle Vs Saunders
Where: North Carolina, United States
Titan FC have an interesting fight card for their 29th event which will air on CBS Sports, including Matt Riddle making his second appearance for the promotion against former UFC and Bellator fighter Ben Saunders in the main event.
There’s another pairing of former UFC fighters in the co-main event as the debuting George Sotiropoulos attempts to break out of a four-fight losing streak against former TUF finalist Mike Ricci.

Saturday, August 23rd: UFC Fight Night 48: Bisping Vs Le
Where: Macau, China
Brace yourself for another dual-event offering from the UFC on August 23rd starting with UFC Fight Night 48 from Macau, with what should be entertaining middleweight headliner between Michael Bisping and Cung Le.
The co-main event is a good one too as Tyrone Woodley looks to get back to winning ways against Dong Hyun Kim.

Where: Oklahoma, United States:
That evening the action swings back to the U.S for UFC Fight Night 49 which features former lightweight champion Ben Henderson squaring off against the No.5 ranked Rafael Dos Anjos.
Amongst the other notable fights on the main card are Francis Carmont Vs Thales Leites, Demain Maia Vs Mike Pyle and Brandon Thatch Vs Jordan Mein.

Friday, August 29th: ONE FC 19 – Reign Of Champions
Where: Dubai, UAE
One FC are wheeling out the big guns for their next show, with the welterweight title on the line when former Bellator champ Ben Askren takes on current promotional kingpin Nobutatsu Suzuki.
Lightweight champion Shinya Aoki also features in the co-main event where he’ll attempt to defend his title against former UFC and WEC fighter Kamal Shalorus and Roger Huerta fights the undefeated Christian Holley.

Saturday, August 30th: UFC 177: Dillashaw Vs Barao II
Where: Sacremento, United States
The UFC are also running with two title fights in one night a day later at UFC 177, with a bantamweight rematch between the man who currently holds the belt, TJ Dillashaw and the man he displaced at the top of the 135lb heap, Renan Barao.
Meanwhile, dominant flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson looks to fend off another challenger in the shape of Chris Cariaso in the co-feature, while Shayna Baszler makes her official UFC debut against the undefeated Beth Correia and Danny Castillo faces Tony Ferguson.
