Major MMA Events In June 2014

June is another month filled with major MMA events, and we’ve compiled the best of the best for you below.

Friday, June 6th: Bellator 121

Where: Oklahoma, United States

After a short break Bellator returns on Friday night with the first of their ‘Summer Series’ of events.

A heavyweight encounter between Eric Prindle and James Thompson headlines this one, with Rameau Theirry Sokoudjou makes his debut in the co-main event against Terry Davinney.

Saturday, June 7th: UFC Fight Night 42: Henderson Vs Khabilov

Where: New Mexico, United States

The UFC takes the Octagon to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the first time and they are bringing with them a solid Fight Night card headlined by former lightweight champion Ben Henderson and Rustam Khabilov.

Diego Sanchez
Vs Ross Pearson serves as the co-main event while John Dodson Vs John Moraga is one of a number of other intriguing scraps lined-up for the show.

Saturday, June 14th: UFC 174: Johnson Vs Bagautinov

Where: Vancouver, Canada

The UFC’s pay-per-view offering for the month comes in the shape of UFC 174 which features a flyweight title fight as Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson looks to take out another title challenger in Ali ‘Puncher King’ Bagautinov.

Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley will try to stake their claim for a welterweight title shot in the co-main event, while Ryan Bader faces Rafael ‘Feijao’ and Brendan Schaub welcomes back Andrei Arlovski to the UFC.

Sunday, June 15th: ONE FC 17: Era Of Champions

Where: Jakarta, Indonesia

The ONE FC bandwagon continues to roll on with their 17th show in the middle of June with a main event featuring former Shooto! fighter Kosuke ‘Rambo’ Suzuki and the Brazilian fighter Adriano Moraes.

The co-main event features two newcomers as Indonesia’s Fransino Tirta dukes it out with Egypt’s Sami Amin.

Saturday, June 21st: World Series Of Fighting 10

Where: Las Vegas, United States

WSOF celebrates their tenth show in Las Vegas with a middleweight title showdown between tournament finalists Dave Branch and Jesse Taylor.

The Highly regarded female fighter Jessica Aguilar also features on the main card against Emi Fujino and Tyson Griffin attempts to get back to winning ways against Luiz Firmino.

Saturday, June 28th: UFC Fight Night 43: Swanson Vs Stephens

Where: Texas, United States

Brace yourselves as the UFC have another dual event planned for June 28th, with UFC Fight Night 43 in Texas up first featuring Cub Swanson Vs Jeremy Stephens at the top of the bill.

TUF champ Kelvin Gastelum looks to continue his impressive run of form in the co-main event against Nicholas Musoke, while Myles Jury will look to solidify his top 10 spot in the lightweight rankings when he goes up against Abel Trujillo.

Saturday, June 28th: UFC Fight Night 44: Te Huna Vs Marquardt

Where: Auckland, New Zealand

Also on June 28th is the UFC’s first visit to New Zealand with local hero James Te Huna headlining against Nate Marquardt.

Other notable bouts to look forward to on this card include Charles Oliviera Vs Hatsu Hioki and Soa Palelei Vs Jared Rosholt.
