Saturday 4th August: ‘UFC On FOX 4: Shogun Vs Vera
Starting the month off in style is the UFC’s fourth live event on FOX this coming Saturday night with Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Brandon Vera heading a four-fight main card.
The big theme of this card is the battle for light-heavyweight No.1 contender status which will be decided by who impresses most out of Shogun Vs Vera along with the co-main event pairing of Lyoto Machida Vs Ryan Bader, giving another reason to tune in to what should be a fun night of fights in L.A.

Saturday 11th August: UFC 150: Henderson Vs Edgar II
Just a week later the UFC are back at it again, this time with a PPV card to mark UFC 150 which will take place in Denver, Colorado where the first ever UFC event took place.
On this historic night the lightweight title is on the line as Ben Henderson looks to prove his win over former champ Frankie Edgar was no fluke. Another exciting lightweight scrap between Melvin Guillard and Donald Cerrone will serve as the co-main event here, while Jake Shields makes a move up to 185lbs to face Ed Herman.

Saturday 18th August: Strikeforce: Rousey Vs Kaufman
Seven days later Strikeforce have a major card up their sleeves that’s fronted by female MMA’s newest superstar Ronda Rousey who’ll defend her 135lb title against former champion Sarah Kaufman.
Rousey’s rival Miesha Tate will return against Julie Kedzie , while another former champion Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza will join the likes of Ovince St.Preux and Tarec Saffiedine elsewhere on the main card.

Friday August 24th: Bellator 73: Curran Vs Pitbull
The last of Bellator’s ‘Summer Season’ events takes place on the 24th Live on MTV 2.
The event will feature a featherweight title fight between current champ Pat Curran who’ll face season 4 tourney winner Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire, while the season 6 bantamweight tournament will conclude with Marcos Galvao facing Luis Alberto Nogueira.

Friday August 31st: ONE FC 5: Pride Of A Nation
The final must-see event of August comes on the following Friday when Asia’s fast rising ONE FC promotion heads to the Philippeans with it’s biggest card yet.
The show is headlined by local hero Eduard Folayang Vs Felipe Enomoto, but check out the other notable names already confirmed for the card including Bibiano Fernandes, Andrei Arlovski, Jens Pulver, Phil Baroni, and a trio from MMA’s most famous fighting dynasty, namely Gregor Gracie, Igor Gracie and Rolles Gracie.
