We’re creeping ever closer to the end of the year now, and with Bellator’s third season finishing tomorrow night, and no major DREAM or Strikeforce events planned the MMA calender is looking a little bit more sparse in November, but there’s still some quality events to look forward to.

November 11th – WEC 52: Faber Vs Mizugaki

The months major action doesn’t kick off until the 11th of November when WEC 52 arrives in Las Vegas with another action-packed card.

The event will host Urijah Faber’s bantamweight debut as he takes on Takeya Mizugaki in the main event.  Elsewhere Josh Grispi and Eric Koch will attempt to get into the title picture at featherweight while Chad Mendes Vs Javier Vasquez is also a meaningful fight in the same division.

November 13th – UFC 122: Marquardt Vs Okami

The first of two major UFC events in November sees the promotion back in Europe, Germany to be exact, with Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami vying for No.1 contendership in the middleweight division in the headline bout.

The euro flavored line-up also includes Alessio Sakara Vs Jorge Rivera, Krzysz Soszynski Vs Goran Reljic and Amir Sadollah Vs Peter Sobotta in amongst the main card.

Admittedly not the strongest line-up of the year, but the good news is that U.S fans can watch the event for free on tape delay via Spike TV.

19th November – Strikeforce Challengers 12

A little less than a week later Strikeforce return with the 12th in their Challengers series.

Little is known about the Mississippi event at this stage other than that it will be headlined by lightweight contenders Vitor ‘Shaolin’ Ribera and Justin Wilcox. Ryan Couture, son of the UFC’s Randy, is also expected to make his second appearance for Strikeforce at the event.

November 23rd – UFC 123: Rampage Vs Machida

In a relatively quiet month of MMA there’s no doubt that UFC 123 in Michigan is going to be the major focus.

The event is headlined by a major light-heavyweight showdown between former champions Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida, with both men looking to get back to winning ways and move straight back into title contention.

That fight is backed up by a quality co-main event as old foes BJ Penn and Matt Hughes lock horns for a third time at 170lbs with the two legends of the sport currently locked at 1-1 from their previous meetings.  Meanwhile George Sotiropoulos could earn himself the next shot at the lightweight title if he can overcome Joe Lauzon.
