What’s Next For UFC 135’s Main Card Winners?

Below we take a look at what may come next for UFC 135: Jones Vs Rampage’s main card winners.

Jon Jones:

Rashad Evans stepped into the Octagon after Jones win to confirm that he’ll be the young champion’s next challenger, and given that they used to be training partners and now can’t stand each other this one should be fascinating to watch.

Josh Koscheck:

Koscheck said at the post-fight press conference that he has his eye on competing at UFC 139 in San Jose in November, but there’s already a solid card developing for that one so it’s not clear whether his wish will be granted.

After being beaten by GSP twice he’s not going to be in the title hunt any time soon at 170lbs, but there’s still some interesting fights out there for him. I’d like to see him up against fellow TUF 1 housemate Diego Sanchez but he’s currently out with a broken hand, so Jake Shields seems like a good choice instead.

Travis Browne:

There was a little bit of buzz around Browne prior to his fight at the weekend after KOin’g Stefan Struve last time out, but his latest display will temper expectations slightly.

Matchmaker Joe Silva often pairs up fighters who won on the same card next time out and I could see that being the case here with another big heavyweight who likes to brawl, Mark Hunt, being his next opponent.

Nate Diaz:

After a strong performance in his return to lightweight Diaz once again becomes a notable contender in the division.

I think a great fight for him would be Cole Miller, another one of the 155lb weight classes most intense fighters who would challenge him both standing and on the feet.
