It’s never easy arriving in the TUF house with no previous pro fights under your belt, and Demico Rogers paid the price, finding himself on the wrong end of a first round anaconda choke from Brendan Schaub. Rogers didn’t get the call to return for the finale and so had to look elsewhere to get his first professional bout.
The 28 year-old had the right foundation to build from though, training at the Jackson’s affiliated Grudge Center with a host of UFC stars. Rogers pro-debut finally arrived in February of this year at a Rumble On The Ridge event but things did not go as planned and he lost by a second round rear-naked choke
Rogers bounced back in July, picking up a win fighting once again for ROTR. Now on the right track Rogers hopes to get another fight under his belt before the end of the year.
