Bellator 106 Fight Card

As you may know by now, Bellator’s plans to air their 106th event on pay-per-view was scrapped late last week due to an injury to headliner, Tito Ortiz, but the good news is that the rest of the card now airs for free on Spike TV this Saturday night, and it’s probably their strongest ever line-up.

Now headlining the show is a lightweight title rematch between current champion Michael Chandler, who’s a perfect 12-0 in his pro career, and one-time UFC target Eddie Alvarez who’s only loss in his last 10 fights came against Chandler in their first encounter in 2011.

The co-main event sees more hardware on the line as dfending featherweight champion Pat Curran takes on Daniel Straus.

The interim light-heavyweight title is on the line when Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal attempts to avenge his Bellator debut loss against Emanuel Newton.

There’s also featherweight action as Mike Richman squares up to Akop Stepanyan, and the ‘Fight Master’ finale featuring Joe Riggs Vs Mike Bronzoulis is also expected to air on the main card.

Cheick Kongo was also expected to fight on Spike TV, but he’s currently without an opponent after fellow heavyweight finalist Vinicuis Quieroz pulled out injured yesterday so it’s unclear at this stage whether they’ll be able to find a later replacement or not.

There’s also some notable names on the prelims, including former UFC fighters Karo Parisyan, Terry Etim and Mike Guymon, to look out for.
