Bellator 142: ‘Dynamite! takes place this coming Saturday night in San Jose and it could well be the promotion’s most ambitious show to date, taking in title fights, a one-night light-heavyweight tournament and simultaneous MMA and Glory! kickboxing bouts.
The event is headlined by a light-heavyweight title bout as Liam McGeary looks to defend his title for the first time against veteran star Tito Ortiz.
The co-main event will feature the final of the four-man, one-night light-heavyweight tournament who’s opening round bouts featuring Phil Davis Vs Emanuel Newton and Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal Vs Linton Vassell will have kicked off the main card earlier in the evening.
Also on-board for the main card are a series of Glory! kickboxing bouts with the biggest being a title fight for their vacant 205lb title as Saulo Cavalari fights Zack Mekassa, while Paul Daley also compets against Fernando Gonzalez and in a woman’s bout Hadley Griffith takes on UFC star Gilbert Melendez’s wife Kerri-Anne Taylor Melendez.
As if that wasn’t enough the main show also contains Josh Thomson’s Bellator debut where he’ll be squaring off against former Legacy FC champ Mike Bronzoulis.
