The UFC today released the full card for UFC 114 which is set to be another major event for the promotion when it hits the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 29th.  It promises to be a major weekend on the MMA calender with the UFC’s Fan Expo also set to take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Topping the bill at UFC 114 is the long awaited showdown between TUF 10 coaches Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Rashad Evans.  The rivalry between the two reaching boiling point during the season, and now the two will finally get to settle their difference in the octagon.

Due to acting commitments on The A-Team movie and a public falling out with UFC president Dana White, Rampage hasn’t fought since a decision victory over Keith Jardine at UFC 96 back in March of 2009.  Meanwhile Rashad Evans got back to winning ways against Thiago Silva in January after losing his light-heavyweight belt to Lyoto Machida in May of last year.

The co-main event of the evening was expected to see former champion Forrest Griffin up against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who made a strong start to his UFC career by defeating Luiz Cane at UFC 106. Unfortunately a shoulder injury forced Griffin out, and Jason Brilz has instead stepped in as a late replacement looking to improve on his 3-1 record in the octagon.

After losing out to Wanderlei Silva by decision in February, Michael Bisping gets his wish to have a quick return to the octagon when he faces Dan Miller who will be keen to make amends for a slightly disappointing performance against Demian Maia last time out.

Finally healthy after a long injury layoff  one of the heavyweight divisions most promising young fighters, 24 year old Todd Duffee, gets back into the cage against Mike Russow who is riding an 8 fight winning streak, one of which occurred under the UFC’s banner against Justin McCully back in August of ’09.

The main card for UFC 114 is rounded out by Diego Sanchez’s return to the welterweight division after an unsuccessful title fight with lightweight champion BJ Penn.   Sanchez has a record of 8-2 at 170lbs though, and will attempt to mount a new assault at the title against the UK’s John ‘The Hitman’ Hathaway who is currently three fights unbeaten in the UFC, and holds an impressive career record of 12-0.

The undercard of UFC 114 is also packed with quality fighters including the likes of TUF season 7 winner Amir Sadollah, season 8 winner Efrain Escudero, and light-heavyweight contender Luiz Cane.
