On October 16th the UFC returns to the British Isles for UFC 120, an event that will air for free on tape-delay in the U.S.
As you’d expect from a UK card much of the talent on display comes their shores, starting with the headline bout where Michael Bisping will look to build on his recent win over Jim Miller when he takes on Yoshihiro Akiyama who lost in one of the fights of the year so far last month against Chris Leben.
In the co-main event Dan Hardy returns to the octagon for the first time since his unsuccessful title bid against GSP. This time round he will face former WEC champion Carlos Condit who has strung together two wins against tough opposition in Jake Ellenberger and Rory MacDonald in the past year.
One of the UK’s brightest young stars John Hathaway also features on the main card just months after a shock win over Diego Sanchez that marked him out as one to watch. Now he will attempt to claim his fifth consecutive victory when he steps into the octagon with Mike Pyle who’s own UFC record is more patchy at 2-2.
French heavyweight Cheick Kongo got back to winning ways against Paul Buentello back in March and will now attempt to build upon that against Travis Browne who defeated the UK’s James McSweeney in his UFC debut at the TUF 11 finale.
The final bout on the main card sees TUF season 9 winner James Wilks up against the Canadian Claude Patrick who made a good impression in his debut at UFC 115 in May.
