The next major UFC event on the horizon arrives on May 28th with UFC 130 which takes place in Las Vegas.

Headlining the show was intended to be a rematch of the lightweight title barnburner from earlier this year between current champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard, but injuries to both fighters forced the bout to be scrapped just three weeks prior to the event.

In it’s place the original co-main event between former light-heavyweight champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Matt Hamill was then promoted to main event status as both men attempt to get within touching distance of a title shot at 205lbs.

There’s also a potentially explosive heavyweight clash between former heavyweight champion Frank Mir and TUF 10 winner Roy Nelson to look forward to.

meanwhile, another heavyweight clash pitting the 6ft 11″ Stefan Struve against 6ft 7″ Travis Browne also finds it’s way on to the main card.

Also on the main card is former war hero Brian Stann who’ll be looking to strengthen his position in the 185lbs ranks when he takes on the returning Jorge Santiago who’s been making quite a name for himself over in Japanese promotion Sengoku over the past few years.

Finally, moved up from the preliminary card after the removal of Edgar Vs Maynard is a main card worthy scrap featuring the hard-hitting Thiago Alves against the always tough Rick Story.

There’s also some quality fights taking place on the undercard, including former WEC star Miguel Torres taking on the fast rising Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson.
