Saturday, October 8th is the date of the next big UFC event, UFC 136: Edgar Vs Maynard 3 in Texas which looks set to deliver a quality night of fights from top to bottom including two title tilts.

Headlining the show is the third encounter between current lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and the man he’s so far logged an 0-1-1 record to, Gray Maynard who’s determined that this time the belt will be going home with him.

Featherweight champion Jose Aldo will also be looking to defend his belt in his biggest fight to date against former 155lb lynchpin Kenny Florian who hopes to finally achieve his dream of being a UFC champion after two previous unsuccessful attempts.

If that wasn’t enough the UFC have also saw fit to give another major fight on the main card that is expected to establish the next No.1 contender at 185lbs as Chael Sonnen returns to face Brian Stann.

There’s also another significant bout for the lightweight division as one of the classes top contenders Melvin Guillard attempts to go six fights unbeaten against the always tough Joe Lauzon.

Finally, after a heavyweight bout between Dave Herman and Mike Russow was scrapped due to Herman testing positive for Marijuana, a rematch between Leonard Garcia and Nam Phan will now step up the main card.

Meanwhile, with the likes of Anthony Pettis Vs Jeremy Stephens and Demain Maia Vs Jorge Santiago filling up the preliminary berths this certainly looks like being an event that delivers plenty of bang for your bucks.
