This weekend the UFC makes it’s first visit to Calgary, Canada with what’s ended up being an injury-ravaged UFC 149 fight card.

Headlining the show is an interim bantamweight title fight between Urijah Faber and Renan Barao. Faber would love to get his hands on that belt and set up a rubber match with his rival Dominick Cruz to unify the title, but Barao is potentially one of the sleeping giants of the UFC’s roster and will be looking to extend his remarkable 29 fight unbeaten run.

The co-main event sees former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard makes his eagerly anticipated UFC debut against Tim Boetsch who’s re-energized his career with a three-fight winning streak since moving down to 185lbs.

Heavyweight Cheick Kongo will try to put a loss to Mark Hunt behind him when he faces Shawn Jordan, the former Bellator and Strikeforce fighter who notched up a win in his UFC debut back in March.

The injuries suffered during the weeks leading up to this event really takes it’s toll on the final two fights on the main card, leaving us with Brian Ebersole Vs James Head, while Chris Clements takes on Matt Riddle.
