UFC 155: Fight Card

This Saturday night brings us UFC 155, the final UFC event of the year, and while it’s been subject to some injury woes it’s still a fight card well worth taking note of.

Of course the headliner sees a rematch between two of the heavyweight division’s best as current champion Junior Dos Santos takes on Cain Velasquez.

The first time they met at ‘UFC On FOX 1’ last year Dos Santos KO’d Velasquez in 66 seconds, but the smart money would be on the rematch being a far more competitive affair.

There’s lightweight action in the co-main event as two skilled, wiley veterans Joe Lauzon and Jim Miller lock horns.

Both Tim Boetsch and Costa Philippou have enjoyed an impressive run of form in the middleweight division of late, but only one of them will be able to get their hand raised and take the next step towards title contention on Saturday night.

Alan Belcher is another fighter with eyes on the middleweight title, but he’s got a tough test on his hands going up against former No.1 contender Yushin Okami.

Finally, Chris Leben returns from a suspension to welcome one of the UFC’s new recruits from Strikeforce, Derek Brunson to the Octagon.
