UFC Fight Night 31 Fight Card (AKA Fight For The Troops 3)

On Wednesday, November 6th the UFC brings back their ‘Fight For The Troops’ series, AKA ‘UFC Fight Night 31’ which takes place live from Fort Campbell in Kentucky.

The promotion’s original plan for the main event fell apart, so we’re left with a somewhat underwhelming headliner between middleweights Tim Kennedy and Rafael Natal.

Nonetheless, Kennedy is a two-time Strikeforce 185lb title contender who produced a solid victory in his UFC debut against Roger Gracie, while Natal has won four of his last five bouts inside the Octagon.

In the co-main event, former woman’s 135lb No.1 contender Liz Carmouche looks to build on her recent win at the last ‘UFC On FOX’ show as she takes on another MMA veteran, Alexis Davis who’s 1-0 in the UFC so far.

Ronny Markes is currently on a three-fight winning streak since joining the UFC, but Yoel Romero, who won ‘Knockout Of The Night’ honors in his promotional debut back in April, will be looking to put an end to that.

Jorge Masvidal is also back in action against one of a number of impressive Russian fighters currently infiltrating the UFC’s ranks, Rustam Khabilov.

Finally, former TUF winner Michael Chiesa attempts to get back into the win column against Colton Smith who’s also coming off a loss.
