The UFC returns to Stockholm, Sweden this coming Saturday for UFC Fight Night 53 and we’ve got the full line-up for you below.
Headlining the show is unbeaten Icelandic star Gunnar Nelson who’s looking for his fifth straight UFC victory against Rick Story, a fighter trying to find consistency after failing to string two victories in a row together over the past three years.
In the co-main event Max Holloway brings a three-fight unbeaten run to the cage against local hero Akira Corrisani who’s own recent three-fight winning streak was brought to an end back in April by a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier.
Another Swedish fighter Ilir Latifi was first brought to the UFC as a late replacement to fight Gegard Mousasi, and while he lost that fight he’s since put together two wins in a row. Next up for him is Poland’s Jan Blachowicz who’s making his UFC debut against notching up big wins over the likes of Sokoudjou, Houston Alexander and Goran Reljic in the KSW promotion.
Opening up the four fight main card is another Swedish fighter Niklas Backstrom who’s unbeaten in his nine fight career to date and will be facing the UK’s Mike Wilkinson.
