This Friday night the UFC finds itself back on FX for their second live event of the year for a card that will mark the introduction of the 125lb flyweight division.

Headlining the show is a potentially thrilling encounter between two of the welterweight division’s most talented strikers Thiago Alves and Martin Kampmann.

There’s also a special four-man flyweight tournament on tap to help introduce the new weight class and crown it’s first champion. Friday’s show will feature the semi-finals, with Joseph Benavidez taking a step down from the bantamweight division to take on new signing Yasuhiro Urishitani.

The other semi-final sees former UFC bantamweight No.1 contender Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson also drop to the 125lb division his physique is well suited for in order to face one of the best flyweight’s in the world, Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall.

Alongside these great fights the main card will also feature TUF season 13 winner Court McGee who’ll be looking to go four fights unbeaten in the UFC when he takes on Costa Philippou who’s on a two fight winning streak of his own.
