New footage of Anderson Silva doing a choreographed dance routing to a Justin Beiber song on national TV in Brazil suggests the MMA legend may have ‘jumped the shark’.

For those not familiar with the term ‘jump the shark,’ it refers to an old episode of long-running television show ‘Happy Days’ in which the storyline calls for lead character ‘The Fonz’ to jump over a shark while water-skiing.

The term has since become synonynmous with anytime a show, or indeed a celebrity, pushes beyond the boundaries of good taste leading to fears that they may have lost the plot.

Thankfully for Silva he’s still the best fighter in the world of mixed martial arts so he’s earned the right to do whatever he wants and we’ll forgive him for this cringeworthy moment, but please god, for our own sanity let this be the last time we mention Silva, ‘Justin Bieber’ and ‘choreographed dance routine’ in the same article!

Silva has shot to superstardom in the past year in his native country which has lead to all sorts of opportunities coming his way, from major sponsorship deals with Burger King and Nike to appearances on talk shows and music videos.

Check out Silva in action below if you dare.
