Meanwhile, Alexander Sarnavskiy made short work of former UFC veteran Marcus Davis in the welterweight quarter-finals, tapping him out by rear-naked choke just 100 seconds into the fight.
Two other former UFC fighters in the twilight of their careers got booted out at the quarter-final stages last night with Rich Clementi and John Alessio both losing out by decision last night to Ricardo Tirloni and Will Brooks respectively.
Saad Awad takes the other spot in the welterweight semi-finals after he finished Martin Stapleton in the first round with a rear-naked choke.
