Bellator 111 Results

Bellator 111 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event Eduardo Dantas successfully defended his title with a second round rear-naked choke against Anthony Leone after cleverly stepping behind his opponent who was doggedly going after a single leg and then dropping back with the submission locked up almost instantly.

Lavar Johnson progressed in the heavyweight tournament by defeating Ryan Martinez. The former UFC fighter found himself taken to the mat early in the fight, but got back up and started trading punches. It was somewhat sloppy stuff from both men, but Johnson got the better of it and ended up staggering Martinez down to the canvas with a barrage of hooks and then unleashed ground and pound strikes to earn the TKO.

‘Mighty Mo’ abandoned his kickboxing and used wrestling to overpower Peter Graham in the other heavyweight bout before finally submitting him with what looked like an awkward arm triangle choke mid-way through the third round.

And in the other main card bout Alexander Volkov claimed a TKO win over Mark Holota in the first round after dropping his opponent and then drilling him with punches until the referee stopped the fight.
