Bellator 116 drew an average of 572,000 viewers on Spike TV this past Friday night.
That’s a disappointing slip of 258,000 from the previous week’s show and pegs it as the second lowest audience of the season so far.
Bellator 115’s relative ratings success had been put down largely to Cheick Kongo fighting in the main event, but on this occasion other former UFC fighters like Lavar Johnson, Vladimir Matyushenko and Joey Beltran didn’t appear to have generated any tangible interest.
Bellator will be hoping for a better showing this Friday night when a welterweight title fight between Douglas Lima and Rick Hawn fronts the show.
