Bellator 134 Results

Bellator 134 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In an event billed as ‘The British Invasion’ it was perhaps fitting that an Englishman, Liam McGeary, emerged as Bellator’s new light-heavyweight champion.

The undefeated McGeary was able to get the better of Emanuel Newton with a sea of submission attempts as they grappled for supremacy for the majority of this five round encounter, resulting in a unanimous decision verdict (48-46, 48-47 x2).

In the co-main event Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal had a successful debut at heavyweight against Cheick Kongo, though he had to play it safe to do so with a wrestle-heavy gameplan that left the crowd restless at times, but secured him a split decision victory (29-28, 28-29, 30-27).

Paul Daley picked up his third win in a row inside the Bellator cage as he outstruck Andre Santos, but couldn’t put him away, leaving it to the judges to award him the unanimous decision win (29-27. 29-28 x2).

Earlier Linton Vassell took out Rameau Sojoudjou by second round TKO via punches after taking his back, while Brennan Ward defeated Curtis Millender quickly with a first round rear-naked choke submission in the main card opener.
