Bellator 142: Dynamite! Medical Suspensions

The Bellator 142: Dynamite! medical suspensions report has been released and shows a number of main card fighters suffered significant injuries during their fights this past Saturday night on Spike TV.

They include both main card fighters Liam McGeary and Tito Ortiz, with the champion suffering an MCL strain while Ortiz has hurt his neck, something he’s had to have surgery for in the past. As a result both men have been suspended for 180 days.

As we already knew, Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal was forced out of competing in the light-heavyweight tournament final due to a suspected broken rib, but another semi-finalist Emanuel Newton also suffered a rib injury too on the night.

Also joining the list of fighters serving a six month suspension is Josh Thomson who hurt his right hip during his promotional debut victory.
