Bellator 147 Results

Bellator 147 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event of the evening Josh Thomson picked up another win in the Bellator cage with a second round TKO win over Pablo Villaseca, taking his opponent down and finishing him with ground and pound.

Afterwards Thomson indicated that rather than fighting for the lightweight title against Will Brooks he’d prefer to fight former champion Michael Chandler next.

In the co-main event Daniel Wiechel cruised to a clean sweep on the scorecards (30-27 x3) against Georgi Karakhanyan, showing off his superior striking over the course of 15 minutes.

Earlier Derek Anderson had again claimed victory in a rematch with Patrick Friere, though it was a close run thing with the judges ruling the fight a split decision (29-28 x2, 28-29) in his favor after a competitive, back-and-forth battle in which his higher volume of strikes just have him the edge.

Elsewhere on the main card there were two submission victories as Adam Piccolotti dominated his fight with Mario Soto before finishing with a second round rear-naked choke, while Brian Rogers ended his scrap with Virgil Zwicker courtesy of an arm triangle late in the second stanza.
