On Saturday night Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney was happy to have witnessed a sell-out crowd at Bellator 47 in Canada, and he’ll no doubt be equally delighted to find out that the TV ratings on MTV2 also performed very well.

Figures released today show that an average of 277,000 viewers watched the live show, peaking with an impressive audience of 386,000.

That makes the show the second highest watched event for Bellator so far on MTV2, nestling comfortably behind Bellator 44 which drew 325,000.

It’s still hard to fathom exactly what’s behind Bellator’s ever-fluctuating ratings, but the good news is that three of the last four events have now posted comfortable over the 200,000 mark and the promotion will be hoping to build on that in the coming months with only one event to go in their monthly ‘summer-series’ before the weekly shows begin once again for season 5 in September.
