Bellator 48 wrapped up the promotion’s ‘Summer Series’ of events on MTV2 at the weekend, and once again they produced solid ratings for the network.

An average of 226,000 viewers tuned in to see Pat Curran be crowned their latest featherweight tournament winner, with a further 114,000 watching the immediate replay on the same station.

The figures see a drop of 51,000 from last month’s Bellator 47 show, but nevertheless it still qualifies as the fifth highest ratings for the company during their fourteen event run on MTV2.

Recent rumors have placed Bellator with a potential switch to Spike TV now that the UFC are moving on to pastures new, but for the time being at least they will remain where they are, with their fifth season set to begin airing live on MTV2 on September 10th.
