After a couple of dissapointing weeks Bellator 52 produced a notable bump in ratings on MTV2 on Saturday night with an average of 269,000 viewers tuning in for the live broadcast, with a further 196,000 being logged for the immediate replay.

The live broadcast figure was up an impressive 111,000 from the previous week, marked the highest ratings of the season so far, and is now the 3rd highest number in the promotion’s history on MTV2.

The numbers are significant in that they came despite the show going head-to-head with ‘UFC On Versus 6’ on the night. The UFC’s shows on Versus don’t enjoy the same pull as those airing on Spike TV however, and that may account for Bellator’s ratings emerging relatively unscathed on this occasion.

Bellator Season 5 Ratings So Far:

  • Bellator 48: 226,000 viewers
  • Bellator 49: 235,000 viewers
  • Bellator 50: 114,000 viewers
  • Bellator 51: 158,000 viewers
  • Bellator 52: 264,000 viewers
