Bellator ratings were on the increase on Friday night for their 62nd event with 175,000 viewers tuning in to the live action on MTV2.

That’s up 67,000 from the dismal 108,000 they drew last week, though it’s still a little under last seasons average of 186,000.

Further good news for Bellator was that their live preliminary action which streamed on Spike TV was also up 100% compared to the previous week, no doubt helped by a sexy ad featuring one of their ring girls which did the rounds on YouTube promoting the internet coverage in the days leading up to the show.

Overall though what we’re seeing so far from the sixth season is that despite moving to a Friday night slot to avoid conflicting with the UFC’s big PPV events, Bellator are still struggling to find a steady following on MTV2, though it’ll be interesting to see how the audience develops now that ‘March Madness’ is over.

Bellator Season 6 Ratings:

Bellator 60: 169,000
Bellator 61: 108,000
Bellator 62: 175,000
