Bellator 63: TV Ratings

Bellator 63rd show drew an average of 140,000 viewers this past Friday night on MTV2.

That’s a drop of 35,000 viewers from the week before and continues the herky-jerky ratings pattern we’ve come to expect from the promotion with it’s current TV home.

A move to Friday night’s was made in order to help smooth out and improve upon the overall ratings for the weekly events, but so far it’s only resulted in lower ratings than they experienced last year, with an average of 151,000 people tuning in to the sixth season as a whole, compared to 186,000 for the previous season in 2011.

As a whole the concept of Friday Night Fights is a concept that seems to be struggling to draw an audience at the moment with The Ultimate Fighter: Live also continuing to post relatively lackluster ratings on FX.
