Bellator crowned their new lightweight tournament champion last night at Bellator 70.
Rick Hawn defeated Brent Weedman after three rounds of fighting to claim the honor and he’ll now go on to face lightweight title holder Michael Chandler at a later date.
Heavyweight champion Cole Konrad has a decision-heavy record, but last night he wasted no time in submitting Eric Prindle with a kimura after just 60 seconds of fighting to successfully defnd his title.
Elsewhere, Luis Nogueira booked his place in the bantamweight final with a third round TKO of Hiroshi Nakamura, while Rich Clementi defeated Derek Campos with a first round guillotine choke.
