Bellator 73: Quick Results

Amidst all the furore over the canceled UFC 151 card yesterday Bellator were quietly going about their business over on MTV2 with the last of their summer-series of events.

In the main event Attila Vegh became their latest light-heavyweight tournament winner after knocking out the well-traveled veteran Travis Wiuff in just 25 seconds, catching him with a straight left and then a cuffing right hook that dropped him followed by a flurry of ground and pound strikes.

Meanwhile, Marcos Galvao was crowned the bantamweight tournament champion after he stopped Luis Nogueira by TKO late in the second round of their bout, hurting him with a right hand and then landing elbows to the head while he was turtled up on the ground for the finish.
