Bellator held their 78th event last night with their seventh season’s welterweight tournament semi-finals taking center-stage.

In the main event former 170lb champ Lyman Good booked his place in the final with a second round win over Michail Tsarev.

There was a somewhat unfortunate end to this fight with Tsarev appearing to be poked in the eye and signalling to the referee that was the case, only for Good to keep fighting regardless, landing knees to his midsection against the cage, before dropping him with a barrage of punches that ended the fight.

In the other semi-final Andrey Koreshkov made short work of Marius Zaromskis, flooring him with a left hook and then landing a relentless series of left hands to his head on the ground that for my money had him KO’d, though the official verdict was a TKO at 2.14mins of the first round.

Down in the preliminary card Bellator’s female champ Zoila Gurgel returned to Bellator for the first time in over 18 months to pick up a unanimous decision win over Casey Noland.

See all the results from last night’s card below.
