Bellator Raise Production Values With New Hi-Tech Stage Tonight (Video)

Scott Coker is continuing to make his mark as Bellator’s CEO with the introduction of a new hi-tech stage tonight at Bellator 131 that will welcome each fighter to the cage in style.

Coker adopted a similar ramp for the fighter walk-ins during his time as the head of Strikeforce, but the production values have been pushed higher for the Bellator show that certainly catch the eye and helps give the promotion a distinct feel compared to it’s biggest rivals, the UFC who purposefully adopt a more straight-forward approach to their fighter entrances.

Bellator will go head-to-head with the UFC tonight with their 131st show airing free on Spike TV, while UFC 180 is broadcast on PPV, and not forgetting WSOF who’s 15th will be live NBC Sports making this the busiest night of high-profile MMA action this year.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
