Strikeforce have demonstrated their commitment to delivering the goods for Saturday night’s Strikeforce: Henderson Vs Babalu 2 event with the announcement of a new fight to replace the scrapped Herschel Walker Vs Scott Carson bout.
Again with the clock against them the promotion have rallied well with Benji Radach Vs Ovince St.Preux actually comfortably exceeding the originally slated bout in terms of overall interest and quality.
St.Preux is currently establishing himself as a genuine prospect with victories in his last five fights, including defeating Antwain Britt by decision at Strikeforce Challengers 12 less than two weeks ago.
This is an extremely quick turnaround for him, but he can take some consolation from the fact that his opponent Radach is coming back after a 20 month layoff due to injury.
When he’s not injured, which is to say not very often these days, Radach is a very dangerous opponent though, with dynamite in his hands that’s helped him end 15 of his 19 career victories by either KO or TKO.
With Mike Kyle yesterday being announced as the replacement for Valentijn Overeem against Antonio Silva the St.Louis fight card is now back to a full compliment, and is looking like being a very enjoyable night of fights.
Nicely done Strikeforce.
