A feud between UFC star BJ Penn and Nick Diaz manager Cesar Gracie has escalated further after ‘The Prodigy’ reacted angrily to comments made by Gracie yesterday.
Gracie had responded to a Twitter message Penn had sent to Diaz accusing him of stalling in their last fight, stating that Penn clearly hadn’t come to terms with his loss to the fighter in October of last year and that the former champion had surrounded himself with “yes men.”
In a new post on Twitter Penn responded to that by indicating that he’d be happy to resolve his differences with Gracie with some good ol’ fashioned fisticuffs.
“@CesarGracieBJJ Excuses?? The whole world knows I lost the fight including myself. I’m tired of you talking down to me Cesar, I hope you’re in training camp right now because the next time I see you, you better not be “scared homie!”
It’s hard to see what the point of all this is, but it has occured to me that while a rematch with Diaz is unlikely to happen, if Penn was to take a trip back down to lightweight then a fight with his high-flying brother Nate Diaz, another product of Cesar Gracie’s gym, would make a lot of sense.
