After their first fight resulted in a majority draw at UFC 127 last month, BJ Penn and Jon Fitch are now set to do it all over again at UFC 132 the UFC have announced.

“Both fighters look to keep it out of the hands of the judges this time,” UFC president Dana White said of the second encounter between Penn and Fitch.

Their original fight had been intended to decide who would earn the next title shot at 170lbs, and it’s likely the same will apply to their rematch. Interestingly, if current champion Georges St.Pierre wins against Jake Shields next month at UFC 129 and then moves up to 185lbs to fight Anderson Silva as has been rumored then there is always the possibility that Penn Vs Fitch 2 would be fighting for the vacant title.

The fight takes place on July 2nd in Las Vegas, and will be backed up by an intriguing lightweight battle between Georges Sotiropoulos and Evan Dunham which has also just been announced.

Both Sotiropoulos and Dunham had been considered potential title contenders at 155lbs before each lost recently, but a win here could propel one of them straight back into the mix.
