Brandon Vera is currently preparing for the biggest fight of his career – against one of the legends of the sport Randy Couture in the main event at UFC 105.

In a new interview Vera reveals that he is both excited and nervous about the prospect of facing one of the fighters he looks up to the most. “It’s like a dream come true and a nightmare” he admits, fully aware of the dangers of facing such a well decorated champion.

Wins over Mike Patt and Kryzysztof Sosynski have set Vera’s career back on track after a turbulent spell of three losses in four UFC bouts, but few expected him to be headlining against Hall Of Famer Couture in his next fight.

Rumors have circulated that Rashad Evans turned down the fight with Couture first, but whatever the reason it is now up to Vera to make the most of the opportunity that has been given to him and rediscover the form that made him a highly regarded prospect in the early part of his career.
