After surviving an early scrare Brian Ebersole turned the screw on Dennis Hallman to secure a TKO victory on the main card of UFC 133 in Philadelphia.
Hallman wasted no time in taking Ebersole down from the opening bell and immediately found himself in a dominant position, taking his opponent’s back.
Hallman then patiently began to lock up the position and then fish for a rear-naked choke finish, but Ebersole did a good job of fending him off and eventually managed to burst out of the position and end up in top control.
It’s then Ebersole’s turn to punish Hallman with ground and pound and he does so very effectively, making great use of elbow strikes, several of which land cleanly on Hallman’s jaw. One final blow appears to make his opponent go limp for a brief second and the referee swoops in to call an end to the bout with a little over half a minute of the round left.
It took Ebersole a long time to get to the UFC, but he’s certainly making the most of the opportunity and now has two good wins under his belt.
As for Hallman, you can only imagine that he’s being punished here by a higher power for having subjected us all to the smallest fight pants in UFC history.
