Brock Lesnar And Shane Carwin Trade Verbal Jabs

The war of words between two of the UFC’s biggest heavyweight stars Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin is starting to heat up nicely.  With the pair set to clash at UFC 106 in November both have been speaking to media about why they will leave the cage with their arm raised and the belt around there waist.

Speaking to Yahoo! Sports last week Brock Lesnar said of Carwin’s 11-0 record to date, “His only good fight was Gabriel Gonzaga. Shane’s really 1-0.” He was no less scathing of Carwin’s day job as an engineer.  “He’s a weekend warrior. Fighting is my full-time job.”

His opponents Division II wrestling credentials don’t appear to impress Lesnar either.  “There’s no comparison between Division I and Division II. The reason they have Division II is for the guys who can’t make it at Division I.”

Shane Carwin has not been slow to return fire on the current heavyweight champion.   Speaking to he says, “I feel like I have paid my dues and so have a lot of fighters waiting for their shot.” He continues, “Brock is what they call a “Draw”, he sells tickets, I am what they call a “Fighter.”

Carwin also fired a warning shot as his opponent by stating, “He better be training for a war because I will be.”

From the latest video footage to emerge from the Lesnar camp it would appear that he is indeed doing just that…
