February 27th’s UFC 127 event has received a blow with the news that Carlos Condit has been forced to pull out of his fight with Chris Lytle due to a knee injury.

It’s a blow for the fight card, with Condit Vs Lytle having been earmarked as a potential ‘Fight Of The Night’ encounter and one that featured two fighters in particularly good form.

The word now is that the Australian based Brian Ebersole could be drafted in as a later replacement to take on Lytle. Ebersole is not currently contracted to the UFC, but he is an experienced fighter with a professional record of 44-15.

It’s not an ideal replacement, but with just a little over two weeks left until fight night they have to make the best of a bad situation.
