Chael Sonnen Gets Back Into The Gym

After his major victory over Nate Marquardt at UFC 109, Chael Sonnen took a little time out to recover from the bruising encounter, and also to kickstart his political campaign to become a state representative in Oregon.

Now he is back in the gym however, and he gave  the Purefights.org site an update on how he was doing after his first training session.

“Physically OK…not great – I just got some stitches out of my forehead, couple of stitches off my nose, and I had a few on the very top of my head in my hair…so physically OK, not 100%.”

Among other things Sonnen also discusses how he got into mixed martial arts, and an important lesson he learned in his first fight.¬† Watch the full interview for yourselves below…
