The main event of UFC On Versus 4 between Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry produced one of the most amazing come-from-behind knockouts in the history of the sport.
After a feeling out process in the opening minute of the fight Barry started to press forward and a big right hook rocked Kongo, dropping him to the floor.
Kongo is trying to recover and tries to roll away as Barry lands bombs at him. He somehow gets back to his feet only to instantly be dropped again.
Surely the fight is about to be stopped at any second, but Kongo is still showing signs of life and gets back upright again against the cage.
Barry comes in confidently looking for the finish only to be clipped with a right hook that staggers him and then is followed up by an even heavier right uppercut behind it that knocks Barry out cold.
It’s an amazing minute of action and is living proof of the old saying, “It ain’t over ’til it’s over.”
Barry looks absolutely gutted as the decision is read out, knowing that he had been just moments from victory, while Kongo is equal parts relieved and elated to have turned a bad night into an good one in the blink of an eye.
