Former IFL and WEC fighter Chris Horodecki has been unveiled as Bellator Fighting Championships latest signing.

The lightweight fighter doesn’t have long to wait for his debut – he’s immediately been slotted in to the main card of Bellator 47 on July 23rd where he’ll face Chris Saunders.

Horodecki was perhaps a little unfortunate to not make the transition to the UFC when they absorbed the WEC at the end of last year. He fought on the promotion’s final card where he lost out by a triangle choke to Donald Cerrone, and found himself cut as a result, leaving with a 2-2 record.

The 23 year-old has since put another notch in the win column after defeating David Castillo at Canadian event MMA: The Reckoning in April to extend his career record to 17-3.
