Despite suffering another devastating knockout loss to Rich Franklin at UFC 115, Chuck Liddell is still not convinced that retirement is the only option.
“I’m still working on evaluating,” Liddell tells Yahoo! Sports. “I thought I did great before I was caught. I have to look at it some more and think about it. I think I looked good and I definitely was in great shape. I could have kept that pace up for another four rounds, without a doubt.”
There were certainly positives to be taken from his performance, but after the fight even his long-time friend and coach John Hackleman suggested it may be best for the former champion to hang up his gloves.
From the sounds of things though it appears ‘The Iceman’ may be seriously considering fighting on.
“There’s a lot still to think about. I felt pretty good and I think showed I can compete. I’m not going to rush and I’ll do what I think is best. I’m just not at a point to make that decision yet.”
It remains to be seen whether Dana white would even let him step into the octagon again though. Liddell admits that so far he has not spoken to the UFC president.
